Save State policies
DMCA copyright policy
This policy outlines how copyright holders can notify Save State about Minecraft-related articles, images or other published material they believe infringes their rights. It also explains how contributors can challenge a removal when content has been identified incorrectly or used under a valid permission.
Copyright and creative ownership
Save State recognises the creative work behind written guides, screenshots, illustrations, videos, artwork and other editorial material. Content featured on this Minecraft blog may be protected by copyright, licence terms or other intellectual property rights. If you own rights to material displayed on this website, or are authorised to represent the rights holder, and believe that its publication is unlawful, you may send us a written copyright notice using the contact information below.
Please examine the reported use before submitting a complaint. Minecraft screenshots, quotations, fan creations and referenced resources may sometimes be shared under a licence, with permission or under an applicable legal exception. A clear explanation of the rights involved and the specific material at issue allows us to assess a report more accurately and avoid unnecessary removal of legitimate content.
Details to include in a copyright notice
A written complaint should contain enough information for us to identify the protected work and investigate the reported publication. Please include:
- A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been used without authorisation. If your complaint covers multiple works, provide a representative list with sufficient details to identify them.
- The exact material you want reviewed, including the full URL of the Save State page where it appears and any relevant image, article or media references.
- Your full name, postal address, telephone number and email address, along with the preferred method for contacting you about the complaint.
- An explanation of why the use is not permitted by the copyright holder, an authorised representative or applicable law, together with a statement that you genuinely believe the disputed use is unauthorised.
- Confirmation that the information supplied is accurate and that you own the relevant rights or have authority to submit the complaint on the rights holder's behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature, including your printed name and representative role where applicable.
If available, include links to the original work, registration details, licence information or other supporting material that helps establish ownership. Reports that omit essential details may need clarification before we can complete our review.
Submitting a counter-notice
If your Minecraft guide, build showcase, screenshot or other contribution has been removed or restricted following a copyright complaint, and you believe the decision was based on an error or mistaken identification, you may send us a counter-notice. Identify the affected content, provide the URL where it was previously available and explain why you believe its removal was not justified.
Include your contact details, a clear statement of your position and any evidence supporting your right to publish the material. Relevant evidence may include an original creation file, a licence, written permission, proof of authorship or an explanation of an applicable legal exception. Your counter-notice should also contain the declarations and signature required by the relevant legal procedure. We may contact you if additional information is needed to evaluate your response.
How copyright reports are handled
Save State reviews complete copyright complaints as promptly as reasonably practical. While examining a report, we may temporarily disable access to the disputed article, image or other material when the circumstances warrant it. We may also contact the contributor responsible for the publication and share relevant details of the complaint so that they have an opportunity to understand the allegation and provide a response.
Decisions are made using the information available at the time of review. A submitted notice is not, by itself, proof that infringement has occurred, and sending a counter-notice does not guarantee that removed material will be restored. Where a complaint is supported, we may remove the affected content, restrict its availability or decline to publish the same material again if the copyright concern remains unresolved.
We expect all parties to provide honest and complete information. Deliberately submitting false, deceptive or misleading claims may affect how we handle later reports. This policy does not replace applicable copyright legislation or limit any rights and remedies available to the parties involved.
Sharing and reusing Save State content
Readers are welcome to share links to Save State articles, guides and Minecraft coverage. However, reproducing substantial portions of our original writing, copying screenshots or illustrations, or distributing our editorial material for commercial purposes without the necessary permission may violate copyright or other applicable rights. When referencing our work, use only the amount reasonably needed, identify Save State as the source and link directly to the original page whenever appropriate.
For permission to republish an article, use an image or adapt another piece of editorial content, contact us before proceeding. Include the relevant page URL, describe the material you want to use and explain where and how it will appear. Any required authorisation must be obtained before publication or distribution.
